Glen Goodman


I started my career as a gas engineer with British Gas in Sept 2005 and spent 4 years as a Service Engineer. I then carried on my career as a gas engineer with a couple of other companies such as BSW Heating for 4 years and Carshalton Boilers for 1 year.


I've always had a passion for being self-employed and decided to take that chance after Carshalton Boilers to establish my own business venture in the gas heating industry. It's been challenging but rewarding, giving me the freedom to innovate and provide personalized solutions to my clients.


After 1 year of being self-employed, Switch 2 Energy Ltd made contact and offered me a job role as an HIU Domestic Field Engineer. I didn't have any knowledge of HIU's (Heat Interface Units) and District Communal Heating until Oct 2016 when my career started off with Switch 2. Since then, I have gained substantial expertise and contributed to multiple significant projects working as an HIU Engineer with Switch 2 Energy Ltd. After 5 1/2 years, I then went on to work with a couple of other companies as an HIU Engineer gaining a total of over 8 years within the District Communal Heating sector. This experience has equipped me with the skills necessary to start my self-employment venture again to lead and innovate HIU Service & Maintenance Ltd. I am confident that my knowledge and expertise will contribute significantly to the company's success.
